Nuclear

Precision Engineered Materials for the Most Demanding Environments.

Trusted Solutions for Safety Critical Nuclear Applications.

The nuclear industry demands materials that deliver uncompromising performance in some of the world’s most aggressive and safety critical environments. For almost 40 years, Glassbond has manufactured high performance materials under licence from Sauereisen Inc. Providing proven durability, chemical resistance, and long term reliability where performance matters most.

Products

Air Set Materials.

These materials require no chemical catalyst, making them ideal for assembly line processes. Typical curing time is between 18-24 hours, but this can be reduced by heat application. Having fireproof and gas proof properties makes them an effective and  versatility material for any production process.

Suited to thin applications.

Chemical Set Materials.

These materials can withstand temperatures from cryogenic levels to 1600°C making them ideal for the harsh extremities faced by the nuclear industry. This group of products have a quick cure time of between 30-90 minutes and can harden in a larger mass or thickness, making them suitable for thicker potting or casting applications.

Suited to thick applications.

Types of Applications

From bonding and sealing to potting, encapsulation and protective coatings, our high performance materials are engineered to perform in high risk, high temperature and radiation intensive environments.

Reactor Vessels, Steam Generators & Heat Exchangers

These products maintain exceptional thermal stability under continuous high temperature conditions, making them ideal for coating and encapsulating critical structures and equipment.

Ducting Systems

These materials can be used to provide air tight sealing joints and gaps in high temperature zones, maintaining the systems integrity.

Sensor Housing

The materials dielectric properties protect systems and ensure that equipment does not suffer degradation in demanding environments.

Fire Resistant Panels & Barriers

Our materials combine high temperature performance with exceptional fire resistance properties, making them ideal for bonding and securing fire resistant panels and barrier systems.

Maintenance & Decommissioning

The volume stability of the these products make excellent for crack filling and encapsulating materials prior to disposal.

Heat Exchangers

The low shrinkage and dielectric integrity of our High Performance Materials make ideal sealants and insulators for these components
