Precision High Performance Materials for Critical Applications.

Versatility and strength in every environment.

For almost 40 years Glassbond has partnered with Sauereisen Inc to manufacture High Performance Materials delivering flexibility and ease of use across a wide range of application types. Their strength and reliability make them ideal for enduring the toughest of conditions that the defence sector demands.

Products

Air Set Materials.
These cements are ideal for assembly line processes or automatic dispensers as the final cure occurs between 18 – 24 hours. They are typically available as a paste or powder and are best suited to thin applications from 0.4mm to 1.9mm. As these materials are air set there is no chemical catalyst required for curing. If a quicker curing time is required, heat can be applied.

Suited to thin applications.

Chemical Set Materials.
These materials are ideal for bonding, setting and encapsulating. Due to the fast cure time of between 30 – 60 minutes, they can be used for thicker applications. This group of products can be split into 3 sub-groups: Phosphates, Silicates and Magnesium Oxysulfates. Each group has their own unique characteristics from providing excellent electrical conductivity, to matching expansion rates of the substrate and withstanding temperatures from cryogenic levels to 1600°C.

Suited to thick applications.

Types of Applications

From bonding, sealing, potting, encapsulation to coating, the versatility of our range means that we will have a solution to your engineering needs. These are some of the applications that our products have been proven to work in:

Missile & Propulsion Systems

High temperature sealing and encapsulation for ignition, control and guidance sensors.

Radar, Sonar and Sensor Platforms

Our high dielectric strength adhesives can be used for precision sensor assembly.

Aerospace and Subsea Sensors

The cryogenic resistance of our materials makes them suitable for encapsulating sensors in these extreme conditions.

Infrared, Optical and Lighting Systems

The adhesive nature of our products provides lamp bonding, reflector adhesive and heat resistant encapsulation capabilities.

RF Antennas

Potting of these antennas in our High Performance Material gives them high dielectric strength, reducing the RF interference.

Avionic Heat Exchangers

The low shrinkage and dielectric integrity of our High Performance Materials make ideal sealants and insulators for these components
